Esplanade, Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire
Multi-layers of paint on exterior brickwork had caused major damp problems. Facades sympathetically removed the paint using a DOFF* superheated steam system to expose underlying brickwork, then sourced reclaimed bricks** matching in size, colour and texture to replace damaged areas and completed the restoration with traditional hand lime-pointing. Location within the North York Moors National Park meant strict guidelines for conservation work.
